The Baby Edit
Babies - they're cute, pure and bring such joy into the world for many. But what on earth do you get them as a gift? If you're a regular Daisy Parker you might already know that we stock some wonderful baby bits, from toys, clothes, food trays, beakers and more. But we thought we'd put together a post to show some of our favourite items that we think would make great gifts for a little one, and even some well-deserved treats for new parents.
Cath Kidston is a good go-to for some really sweet baby bits, and we think the Nursery Set is a great place to start with a gift. Packaged in a little box with a handle the set includes a sippy cup, two spoons and a bowl and comes in a few different designs to choose from. Unicorn Meadow for the girls, Space Garage for the boys, or Animals for all!
We also stock from Cath Kidston some (obviously) beautifully designed sleep suits that come with either a hat or a bib, and packs of two bibs which all come in yet more lovely designs. For when they get a little older there's the melamine food trays which are durable, useful gift options that feature spaces for a cup, cutlery and three food options.
Our other best baby brand is Moulin Roty. They provide some simply gorgeous cuddly soft toys, comforters, rattles and slippers. The Grande family is the main part of our range, featuring a variety of fun animal characters all with names such as Walter the dog, Nini the mouse and Albert the sheep. The materials used are all super soft and machine washable for those inevitable accidents, and the quality of each item means that overall they would make a really special, long-lasting gift for a baby.
But what about the parents?
If you want to get something that includes the parents then we've got some lovely sentimental gift options that might be perfect. We stock the East of India 'Babys First' box which includes a box for their first tooth, curl, and their name bracelet. Plus, there's the birth certificate box so it can be displayed proudly and safely in a really sweet box in your home.
Or for something entirely different, we've got a couple of beautifully scented candles from Country Candles. Candles seem to bring warmth and peace to any home, so perhaps these could be a lovely alternative present for new parents. With a message of 'Baby Girl' or 'Baby Boy' on them, they come in sweet, pastel coloured tins and have the scent of rosewood, which is said to ease frustration and bring calm into your home.
These gifts wouldn't be complete without a card, and we've got plenty to choose from in store. Including 'congratulations' and 'new baby' cards - there's a great range.
