Staying Safe in Our Shop
Staying Safe in Our Shop
As the weeks of lockdown drift by and restrictions are gradually being lifted, shops are slowly being allowed to open again. So with careful consideration, we've decided that our lovely Daisy Park shop is hopefully going to be one of them!
Even though we're all excited for this, we are also aware that these are still uncertain times and we must be as careful as possible. So we thought we'd let you know what we'll be doing to stay as safe as when being in the shop and serving you, our lovely customers.
One thing you can count on is that we'll be washing our hands as much as we can! We all know the importance of this, so we'll be popping out the back to scrub them, or topping up with hand sanitiser in-between servings or whenever needed.
Wiping Down Surfaces
As well as hand washing, we've been doing this one regularly since right at the start of the pandemic anyway. So we've got anti-bac wipes and sprays at the ready to wipe down door handles, till equipment and other commonly touched surfaces as often as we can throughout the day.
New Protective Screen
One significant change we're introducing is a protective plastic screen for the till. This is so when you come to pay for your items you don't have to worry about being in close contact with whoever's serving you, as the screen will be between us. You've probably seen these in most supermarkets by now, ours is similar to them, and they're a great help in preventing the virus spread so it was a no-brainer for us.
Go Contactless Where You Can
Whilst we will accept the other forms of normal payment like cash, we'll be encouraging customers to pay by card via the contactless method or Apple pay whenever they can, to minimise contact yet again. Every little really does help!
Kerbside Pick Up
We'll be continuing to offer our kerbside pick up option for any customers who are still being extra cautious, or simply can't stop by, as we'll of course be in store anyway. You can place your order online and choose the option at check out and it'll usually be ready for collection the following day! (do check first though, sometimes we've got lots of orders to do so can't be as quick).
So there we have it, those are the main precautions we'll be taking to try and stay as safe as possible when opening up our shop. We'll be trying our best to socially distance too, but because of the size of our little shop, 2 metres won't always be possible. No hugging or touching though that's for sure!
We'll let you know if anything changes, but we as the Daisy Park team can't wait to get back to work, and can't wait to see some of our wonderful local customers once again.
