Many of you are aware of the beautiful brand that is Emma Bridgewater. And many of you also probably know about it's history. But for those of you who don't, or if you just fancy a little reminder of how far it's come, then we're shining a spotlight on Emma Bridgewater for this weeks brand blog post. Emma Bridgewater: handmade in Britain since the beginning

Since 1984 when the brand was first born, Emma Bridgewater have been based in Stoke-On-Trent, the home of British pottery. Each piece is born out of a love for homely, classic design and practicality but always with a pretty and fun twist. It gets made in their lovely factory and fun fact: will get touched by about 30 pairs of hands before it ends up in yours (all professional hands of course). This fact alone is such a huge reason behind the love for Emma Bridgewater. It makes each product feel special, and like it's story has already started before it reaches you. These are photos we took when we went to a stockist day back in 2023. Once you see it yourself, it makes the products feel that bit more special.

Why we love it...

So why is Emma Bridgewater just so loved? We'd say it comes down to three main reasons. First of all, we just mentioned that each product is handmade in their own factory, which we think makes them feel special. Secondly, they just know how to come up with a great design. From quirky stenciling to playful messages all the way to their classic, goes-with-everything patterns like the iconic polka dots. This also makes their products really collectible which is also important. If you love a design you can really invest in it, and especially now that they've ventured into textiles and cards, you can have one design almost anywhere in your home! Once again, the polka dot collection is a great example of this, as well as some of their other classic styles like pink hearts, blue stars and black toast.

The latest launches

So, what's new from Emma Bridgewater? They are always coming out with new designs, and we're pleased to say that we've just recently had a new launch. The theme was coastal vibes celebrating the Great British seaside and we absolutely love it. In fact, we based our entire current window display solely on this gorgeous collection. We've also had some old favourites come back in recently which were exclusive to retailers: the landscapes and cities of dreams mugs. They're almost all sold out now though. And in future, do be sure to regularly check back on our website for new Emma Bridgewater goodies. There are always launches ahead of new seasons of course (the Halloween collection this year is set to be GREAT), but we also often get deliveries almost every month.

We have two Emma Bridgewater dressers in our shop these days (we started with one but over the years there has just been more and more delights that we simply had to stock). One we tend to display the every day designs, and the other we like to make more seasonal and playful. This is how they're looking right now:
