    What's New at Daisy Park

    What's New at Daisy Park

Almost every week at Daisy Park there are boxes of goodies in all shapes and sizes arriving into store. It's always exciting when we get one containing new goodies because it feels a little bit like receiving a present, we love it.

Recently we've had some scrumptious new bits and bobs trickling in and we like to keep our customers in the loop, so we thought we'd introduce you to some of them. For example, there's been some gorgeous candle trays from Pip Studio arrive, which we think would complete a dinner table perfectly by adding a touch of sophistication. Pair them with the beautifully grand candle stick holders we already have, and your table spread will be looking fit for a queen.

Also in the home décor department is a delivery of Austin Sloan that's recently come in, with lots of signs both new and old. Here are a few of our favourites, including this Handwashing one because it's definitely been an important one this past year or so!

We LOVE stationery here at Daisy Park. Particularly the kind of product that makes you realise you didn't know you needed it until you saw it, at which point, you simply must have it, of course. Password books are one of these products for us, so these fabulous new mini ones from a fellow small business are new favourites here. If you're forever having to click on the 'forgot password' button then these might just be a life saver for you. They'd also make great stocking filler gifts but we'll try not to talk about that time of year just yet...

Jellycat toys never fail to provoke laughter when customers pass them in the shop. We love them too, so getting new little characters in every so often is always a joy. Some new friends in the gang include the Fabulous Fruit Blueberry, Amusable Broccoli, some adorable little backpacks, and a Bewitching Cat which would look fab next to a pumpkin this Halloween.

We're always getting new cards in, to the point where we've practically got them coming out of our ears. Paper Salad are a recent new favourite of ours due to their brightly coloured, fun cards that catch the eye immediately, so we've been gradually getting more in over time. We also have some beautiful new cards from Artfile, with countryside settings on or 1920's inspired luxurious designs, there's even some fab pop-up cards.

All of these lovely goodies are just some of our current new favourites in Daisy Park right now. But we've got plenty more coming over the next month or so, with a seasonal change pending and thus a whole new period of festivities to look forward to. This of course means lots of big new launches from the likes of Emma Bridgewater, Gisela Graham, Jellycat and more, so stay tuned for these newbies. You can keep up to date on what we've got coming here on the blog, by signing up to our newsletters, or by following us on Facebook or Instagram where we're always posting about our antics!

    New Term New Goodies

    New Term New Goodies

As the month of August seems to be hurtling by, we're sure there's lots of parents out there starting to breathe a tiny sigh of relief. Whether it's just starting school, or taking a big leap to university for the first time, a new term will soon be starting and children young and old all over the country will be back to education. This might be exciting for your children, or perhaps very daunting, but however they might be feeling, one thing's for sure: there's plenty to get organised.

Fear not! Maybe we can help with some of these gorgeous goodies, including backpacks, lunch bags, stationery and even some good luck cards for the older children heading off to uni for the first time. Before you know it, the new academic year will feel easy peasy to take on.

Starting with the younger kids, we've got plenty of goodies to get them ready. From lovely backpacks, bottles and lunch bags from Frugi (which can be bought on their own but also look great as a set), to delicious stationery from If & Bookaroo or Djeco. Take the If Children's reading timer, for example, to help them get back into homework duties. Or one of their fab brightly coloured notebooks and some Djeco glitter pens to make their note-taking a bit more fun.

Or if they feel a bit too old for Frugi, the Eco Chic backpacks have got some lovely designs and they foldaway into neat little packages so when they're not in use they can be stored easily.

Now for the older children, Bookaroo and Busy B are gorgeous stationery brands for them. Whether they want to organise their studying hours for the week with a weekly planner, or keep their notes and pens etc together with the Bookaroo notebook accessories. The new pouches would make for ideal uni gifts for storing books and everyday stationery bits.

We all know one of the best ways to do well is by treating yourself well. Ensure your children are staying hydrated with a fabulous Chilly's bottle to take with them to class, or maybe a reusable coffee cup to fuel those 9am lectures.

Finally for many of the older children, starting university can be scary. Wish them all the best with a good luck card to finish off the gift.

    Fathers Day Gift Guide

    Fathers Day Gift Guide

On Sunday 20th June the day that we celebrate all the dads and father-figures in our lives will be here again and hopefully one to remember as we'll all be able to actually spend it with them once again. However we do feel it's important to say that if this time of year is a difficult one for you, please feel free to click off this blog post. We have other blog posts you can read through, or simply have a little browse on our website. Either way, we understand, so do what's best for you.

First and foremost we're so excited about stocking Chilly's bottles that we've just got to include them! These are a practical gift with an added touch of luxury that would be ideal for the man who loves the outdoors. If he's already got a reusable water bottle, then alternatively you could always gift him one of the insulated food pots so he can take breakfast on the go wherever he's headed.

One thing you can never go wrong with is a good mug. By now most of you will know that we've always got an Emma Bridgewater mug for every occasion, and Father's day is no exception. Whether it's one of the lovely Dad mugs or perhaps one simply with his favourite animal or scene on, we're sure he'll be pleased.

Is the special man in your life a busy one? If he's someone who spends a lot of time at the office (even if that's at home nowadays), stationery is great for being a gift that's useful but still oozes style and a personal touch. The Voyager journals are exactly this, with their sleek design and handy refills, as are the Bookaroo notebooks with the bonus of all their accessories to add to it.

Now for a product for those who own that typical man cave. Whether it's a simple shed or a full-blown hideout, make it complete with one of these fab signs from Austin Sloan, or a bottle opener for when he's snuck out there for a peaceful beer on a Friday evening. These are also great for dads with a good sense of humour.

The Asta Barrington Beer tray might be another one for the man cave to serve beers or other drink choices on. Or it would even look brilliant just as a decorative display of love for his favourite drink.

Gisela Graham's mini mugs and jugs are always popular in our shop. The novelty of their simple yet cute and fun designs always go down a treat as gifts. You could give the tools one for the garden lover, or perhaps a sailboat for the guy who loves the sea.

Finally, it's always heart-warming to sprinkle a little bit of sentiment into a gift, and the same applies to dads, grandads and father-figures alike. As always, East of India is your most reliable choice here, with hanging hearts, coasters or trinkets that always seem to say the right thing. Pop one in with your gift for that final touch of love and we think your Fathers day gift might just be complete. Now all you need is a card..

And for the cards, we have our usual array of gorgeous Emma Bridgewater designs, along with plenty of other playful or sentimental themes for every type of man out there.

    Stationery Faves

    Stationery Faves

Is there anything better than new stationery? Over the past year we've all had to find excitement in the little things in life, and one thing we've found joy in here at Daisy Park has to be new stationery. Admittedly, we've always enjoyed stationery, so this isn't really anything new to us, but here's a few of our current favourites. Whether it's a treat for the kids settling back into school, or just a little work from home pick-me-up, there's a treat for everyone.

These Sardine page markers are always a winner as a little stationery gift. These are ideal for students who need to section off key revision areas in textbooks etc, and they're also just great fun as they come in a variety of bright, busy prints and their own little sardine tin.

Put them together with one of Bookaroos gorgeously vibrant notebooks and a pen and you've got a fabulous gift together for any fellow stationery lovers out there. These colours will be sure to freshen up anyones work from home space in no time.

But if brights aren't your thing then fear not, we've got plenty of lovely notebooks to choose from to suit all tastes. For those who love the seaside, Corniche encompasses all things coastal which is continued in their stationery, with the occasional addition of their signature mugs too. Or for those who like to keep things simple, the Voyager journals are the ideal smart and sleek notebook, plus you can buy refills so that they can be used over and over again.

Daisy Park Gift Guide: Final Stocking Fillers

Daisy Park Gift Guide: Final Stocking Fillers

We've almost reached that time where we all start to slow down a little and wind down ready for Christmas to really begin. But before that blissful part, there is of course that last minute rush that we all experience, getting those final few bits to bulk out the main gifts, and stocking fillers.

Here at Daisy Park we love the stocking fillers. It's a chance to give and receive some of those sometimes slightly random, but really quite handy and fun goodies. Anything from mini hand creams and stationery bits, to keepsakes and jewellery. So in this final week, we've taken inspiration from the humble stocking filler gift, and created a list of some of our top recommendations to pop inside it.

    1. Hand Sanitiser

Sorry! We know this is probably a bit obvious, but this year it really does feel like the most useful stocking filler to give to all the family, it'll definitely get used after-all. But take this as a chance to get them a more luxury one with a scent that will make them want to clean their hands 200 times a day, like the English Soap Company ones - heavenly. Or the Heathcote & Ivory ones for the same gorgeous scents, but in super compact packaging for the 2020 handbag essential.

    2. Bookaroo Stationery

Yet another really handy stocking filler, not only for youngsters at school/college/uni, but for the new wave of those working from home who left all of their bits at the office. Whether it's the notebook tidies, the very useful phone pocket or the bendy reading light for the little ones, you can't go wrong with a bit of stationery at Christmas.

    3. Luxury Powder Socks

One of the major underdogs of Christmas gifts, don't you think? They're the type of gift that seems a bit 'naff', but really, are quite a lovely thing to receive. Especially if it were a pair of the fabulous Powder socks, which come in an array of gorgeous prints and colours, and are wonderfully soft and cosy too. The alphabet socks are particularly great stocking fillers, get a pair for each of your receivers' names!

    4. East of India goodies

Perhaps the leader of all stocking filler gifts, East of India gives the option of sprinkling a little sentiment into your gifting. Their goodies make for perfect little extra presents, whether it's a ceramic hanging, a pebble, a trinket dish or one of their new lovely felt baubles, you can't go wrong with an East of India gift.

    5. Beauty

For those who love a bit of a pamper, we've got some fabulous little treats to throw in the stocking. Including mini hand cream trios, soap bars or lip balms, they're an easy option that are also ideal for those always on the go.

    6. A Gisela Graham brooch

These little accessories have been a favourite as stocking fillers or little extra gifts for a while now. The beautiful designs are lovely little keepsakes for someone who likes to add a little sparkle to their daily outfits, and we even have a couple of Christmas designs in store at the moment. Not for long though!

    7. Emma Bridgewater foldaway shopper

For someone who is perhaps trying to go a little greener, or simply for someone who never have enough hands, the Emma Bridgewater shoppers are great little extras to throw in.

There's so much more bits and bobs that we think are perfect for stocking fillers. You could get decorations for someone to add to their tree, tealights, coin purses, jewellery and so much more. Simply have a browse at our website or pop in and have a look around, we'd love to have you.

And as this is the final blog post before Christmas, here's us wishing you the best, and sending you many seasons greetings. We hope everyone manages to stay safe this year above all, and have a merry one in any way you can. Lots of love Daisy Parkers.
