    Top 10 Stocking Fillers

    Top 10 Stocking Fillers

They say the best things come in small packages, right? Stock up on these fabulous fillers and you'll be making the opening of Christmas stockings the event of the day.

    1. A soap

These novelty ones by Go La La are new to Daisy Park this year and have been really popular because they are just so funny. They're just such a brilliant gift for someone with a cheeky and childish sense of humour. Alternatively, the English Soap Company's Christmas or Kew Gardens soaps are a lovely alternative with a gorgeous range of scents.

    2. Socks

Would it be Christmas without receiving a pair of socks? Powder socks are great choice here, with both Men and Womens socks available in some bright and beautiful designs, or their popular alphabet socks for something a bit more personal.

    3. A password book

Perhaps a little random, yes, but password books are one of those products you don't know you need until you see it in front of you. It's not so likely your loved ones have one of these or would have thought of them so this could be a great little gift that's super handy. We particularly love these mini ones by SMW Gifts.

    4. An East of India trinket

Whether it be a trinket dish, a token matchbox, tealight holder or a simple hanging heart, East of India goodies are perfect for popping in a stocking. They'll add a touch of sentiment which always goes down well (particularly at Christmas), and provide a cute little keepsake for your loved ones to have forever.

    5. Hand sanitiser or cream

Still very appropriate and an essential for everyone these days, we believe you can never have enough hand sanitiser or hand cream. With the lovely ones we have from English Soap Co or Heathcote & Ivory, your friends and family will not only have hands as soft and clean as possible, but will be smelling divine at the same time.

    6. A keyring

A great go-to and somewhat of a timeless classic of a stocking filler, need we say more? These novelty ones are just brilliant, there's one to suit everyone.

    7. Pocket tissues

Possibly another classic? With the adorable range of prints we have, a packet of pocket tissues is actually such a sweet stocking filler idea. Plus, they might come in handy for those winter sniffles or Christmas rom-com blubbers.

    8. Bookaroo stationery bits

Pen holders, phone pockets or reading lights, Bookaroo by If has some great bits and bobs that were practically made to be stocking fillers. We love the idea of a pen holder and pen as a double duo, or the really handy phone pocket.

    9. Jewellery, a brooch or a pin

The perfect example of 'the best things come in small packages', earrings will pop into a stocking nicely and will be sure to go down well. Or, for something a bit different, why not give a brooch by Erstwilder? Or a pin which is a bit smaller and subtler, such as the Erstwilder ones or Gisela Graham festive ones.

    10. A Christmas decoration

Perhaps they've recently moved house and are re-doing their Christmas tree, or maybe you just want to give them something they can use over again year upon year, a Christmas decoration is actually a lovely gift, and we've got plenty of gorgeous ones to choose from.

So there we have it, our top 10 stocking fillers for this Christmas. We've got plenty of bits and bobs to choose from that are all perfect for stocking fillers, just have a little look for yourself on our website or by popping in to the shop.

    Top 10 Gifts for Kids

    Top 10 Gifts for Kids

Christmas is a special time of year for many of us, but when it comes to children, it's particularly precious. The magic and general sparkles and treats that come with it are all just pure joy for them. And the presents of course. They've got it pretty good really haven't they?

It can actually be quite tricky navigating the world of children's gifts when a lot of the time, they already have plenty of everything. So in this weeks gift guide, we've tried to put together some ideas that are useful, fun, and adorable, so that your little ones' will be even more joyful than Santa.

    1. A fabulously unique Jellycat toy

The best thing about the iconic Jellycat brand is the fantastically unique characters they are always creating. So if you're reluctant to get them yet another cuddly toy to add to their collection, then fear not, because you could give them anything from a boiled egg to sardine. But equally, their more classic toys are super soft and always go down well.

    2. A book

Also by Jellycat and a great gift companion to go with one of the toys are the super sweet story books. We've been getting more and more of these in stock because they've become so popular as gifts for youngsters. Give one on it's own as a lovely addition to their little library, or pair it with it's character for a gorgeous gift. Sorted!

    3. A Djeco umbrella

These Djeco umbrellas are a popular product all year round thanks to their brightly coloured, fun designs along with the Great British weather always providing a need for them. But not many people might think of it as a Christmas gift, and they make a great one. Plus, if instead of snow, there's rain on the big day, this will make it a bit more fun!

    4. Make it a crafty Christmas

This year, why not encourage their creative juices with some crafting activities? Not only will it provide them with a fun activity to entertain them, but it will also keep them quiet when the adults are in a food coma on the sofa. There's plenty to choose from, including origami, colouring and much more.

    5. A play tent

Play tents can be such a perfect gift for many reasons. For one, they seem like a huge present to kids, but what's even better, is that this Tipi by Djeco is a foldable material tent, so you can just fold it up neatly and tidy it away easily. So the real winner here is the parents really.

    6. A Frugi bag

Perhaps they want a new school backpack for the new year? Or maybe you could use it as their travel bag? Whatever they choose to use it for, Frugi bags are not only super cute and excellent quality, they're also made from plastic bottles so you're choosing an environmentally friendly company! There's also lunch bags and mini backpacks if you want to get a set.

    7. A reusable drinks bottle

You can get one of these from Frugi too if you want to match it to a backpack you're already getting, or you could give them a slightly more mature choice of a Dopper or Chilly's bottle. All 3 of these do insulated options if you want to keep their drink fresh all day at school or on days out. These are a great gift for slightly older children too.

    8. Stationery galore

Another great option for older kids, stationery is a necessity that can also be a luxury. Whether it's a notebook tidy from Bookaroo to keep their pens organised, or an adorable letter writing set for those budding writers (which can also be used to write Christmas thank you notes if that's something you like your little ones to do), there's something for everyone

    9. A good old puzzle

A good quality, uniquely designed puzzle is such an underrated present in our opinion. We've got some gorgeous ones from Djeco, each coming in a box that actually even looks just gorgeous as a decoration on it's own. The hot air balloon is a personal fave of ours, or maybe the rocket.

     10. A Bendy Light

This one was a really popular product last Christmas and a great one to end on. The ideal balance of fun yet practical, the Bendy Light makes for a perfect stocking filler and always goes down well with keen readers.

    Top 10 Gifts For Him

    Top 10 Gifts For Him

Whether it's our dad, grandad, brother or husband, many of us have that man in our life that we simply can't shop for. Maybe he's really fussy? Has expensive taste? Or simply already has everything?

Whatever it might be, we're sure there will be something you can get him. Read on for some ideas big and small, and one of them might just spark that light bulb moment you're waiting for.

    1. A Chilly's bottle

Chilly's bottles are a great gift for pretty much anyone and everyone, of all ages. Simple and stylish in design, they can look effortlessly cool whilst also being practical and useful. Or if they've already got a bottle, why not add to their collection and treat them to a thermal coffee cup which are just as nice?

    2. An Asta Barrington tray

If the man in your life is someone who likes to host, why don't you give them a tray to serve the beers on? Or a tray that features their favourite tipple of choice.

    3. A bottle opener

These Austin Sloan bottle openers are a must-have for man caves. It simply wouldn't be complete without one, don't you think?

    4. Socks

Getting men socks for Christmas seems to have become somewhat of a tradition over the years, so carry it on in style with a pair of Powder socks for men. They come in some fabulously bright and busy designs and even have their own free gift bag to save you the hassle of wrapping it up.

    5. An Emma Bridgewater mug

If in doubt, go for a mug. In our opinion, you can never have too many (mainly because there's too many nice mugs that come into the shop all the time). If the man in your life is someone who enjoys a cuppa, then a mug such as the Emma Bridgwater Shoreline Scattered Boats mug might be a lovely one if they also like the sea or sailing.

    6. Bookaroo stationery

If he has an office job or is a student that's always in need of pens and rulers, then pretty much anything from Bookaroo by If is a great stocking filler gift. The notebook tidies are ideal for preventing them losing pens, or the notebooks are simple yet sleek in design for notes and planning.

    7. A Hinza Bag

The idea of getting the man in your life a bag might seem an odd one to some at first, but a Hinza bag really is one everyone. They're incredibly practical for doing the weekly food shop or for carrying books in and come in a wide range of colours to suit everyone.

    8. A String Tin

The Emma Bridgewater string tins are a great little present for anyone who loves gardening. The potting shed design mimics a man cave theme and is simply rather sweet. There's also a tin to match to keep bits in such as screws or gardening gloves.

    9. An English Soap Company Soap

For a bit more luxury in the shower, why not treat them to an English Soap Company soap? With scents such as Bergamot & Ginger, or Sandalwood & Pink Pepper, we're sure the man in your life will be smelling divine in no time.

    10. East of India trinkets

East of India always know how to say it best in their trinkets and treats. If you want to show your partner how much you love them, or remind your dad of how great he is, one of these are a great way to show that.

    What's New at Daisy Park

    What's New at Daisy Park

Almost every week at Daisy Park there are boxes of goodies in all shapes and sizes arriving into store. It's always exciting when we get one containing new goodies because it feels a little bit like receiving a present, we love it.

Recently we've had some scrumptious new bits and bobs trickling in and we like to keep our customers in the loop, so we thought we'd introduce you to some of them. For example, there's been some gorgeous candle trays from Pip Studio arrive, which we think would complete a dinner table perfectly by adding a touch of sophistication. Pair them with the beautifully grand candle stick holders we already have, and your table spread will be looking fit for a queen.

Also in the home décor department is a delivery of Austin Sloan that's recently come in, with lots of signs both new and old. Here are a few of our favourites, including this Handwashing one because it's definitely been an important one this past year or so!

We LOVE stationery here at Daisy Park. Particularly the kind of product that makes you realise you didn't know you needed it until you saw it, at which point, you simply must have it, of course. Password books are one of these products for us, so these fabulous new mini ones from a fellow small business are new favourites here. If you're forever having to click on the 'forgot password' button then these might just be a life saver for you. They'd also make great stocking filler gifts but we'll try not to talk about that time of year just yet...

Jellycat toys never fail to provoke laughter when customers pass them in the shop. We love them too, so getting new little characters in every so often is always a joy. Some new friends in the gang include the Fabulous Fruit Blueberry, Amusable Broccoli, some adorable little backpacks, and a Bewitching Cat which would look fab next to a pumpkin this Halloween.

We're always getting new cards in, to the point where we've practically got them coming out of our ears. Paper Salad are a recent new favourite of ours due to their brightly coloured, fun cards that catch the eye immediately, so we've been gradually getting more in over time. We also have some beautiful new cards from Artfile, with countryside settings on or 1920's inspired luxurious designs, there's even some fab pop-up cards.

All of these lovely goodies are just some of our current new favourites in Daisy Park right now. But we've got plenty more coming over the next month or so, with a seasonal change pending and thus a whole new period of festivities to look forward to. This of course means lots of big new launches from the likes of Emma Bridgewater, Gisela Graham, Jellycat and more, so stay tuned for these newbies. You can keep up to date on what we've got coming here on the blog, by signing up to our newsletters, or by following us on Facebook or Instagram where we're always posting about our antics!

    New Term New Goodies

    New Term New Goodies

As the month of August seems to be hurtling by, we're sure there's lots of parents out there starting to breathe a tiny sigh of relief. Whether it's just starting school, or taking a big leap to university for the first time, a new term will soon be starting and children young and old all over the country will be back to education. This might be exciting for your children, or perhaps very daunting, but however they might be feeling, one thing's for sure: there's plenty to get organised.

Fear not! Maybe we can help with some of these gorgeous goodies, including backpacks, lunch bags, stationery and even some good luck cards for the older children heading off to uni for the first time. Before you know it, the new academic year will feel easy peasy to take on.

Starting with the younger kids, we've got plenty of goodies to get them ready. From lovely backpacks, bottles and lunch bags from Frugi (which can be bought on their own but also look great as a set), to delicious stationery from If & Bookaroo or Djeco. Take the If Children's reading timer, for example, to help them get back into homework duties. Or one of their fab brightly coloured notebooks and some Djeco glitter pens to make their note-taking a bit more fun.

Or if they feel a bit too old for Frugi, the Eco Chic backpacks have got some lovely designs and they foldaway into neat little packages so when they're not in use they can be stored easily.

Now for the older children, Bookaroo and Busy B are gorgeous stationery brands for them. Whether they want to organise their studying hours for the week with a weekly planner, or keep their notes and pens etc together with the Bookaroo notebook accessories. The new pouches would make for ideal uni gifts for storing books and everyday stationery bits.

We all know one of the best ways to do well is by treating yourself well. Ensure your children are staying hydrated with a fabulous Chilly's bottle to take with them to class, or maybe a reusable coffee cup to fuel those 9am lectures.

Finally for many of the older children, starting university can be scary. Wish them all the best with a good luck card to finish off the gift.
