The trees are turning, the nights are drawing in, Autumn is making it's mark and October has officially arrived. We know, we can't quite believe it either. Where did the summer go?!

But there are so many perks of the colder seasons coming in. Cosy jumpers, the many hot drinks and hot desserts like mulled cider and apple crumble, wrapped up walks in crunchy leaves, and of course the various celebrations that take place. So in this blog post, we're getting stuck into the spirit of Autumn with all of these gorgeous goodies from Emma Bridgewater, who always know how to do it.

Autumn Crocuses, the great Oak tree range and the Into The Woods range are all perfect for autumn. We particularly love those gorgeous golden orange colours on the Into The Woods mugs with creatures that you can spot on your autumn walks amongst the fallen leaves.

We recently had a harvest moon, and of course there's a mug for that. Plus the village fireworks mug which is an ode to Bonfire night and the 5th of November. Aren't they lovely?

Then there's one of the first events of the colder seasons, Halloween. The themed products around this celebration are always fun and this year did not disappoint. Us Daisy Parkers have each got a set of our own that we're using non-stop in the run up to the 31st!

Despite summer coming to an end, there are many joys that come with the colder season, and looking at these treats makes us feel really quite excited, so we hope the same happens for you.

On Sunday 20th June the day that we celebrate all the dads and father-figures in our lives will be here again and hopefully one to remember as we'll all be able to actually spend it with them once again. However we do feel it's important to say that if this time of year is a difficult one for you, please feel free to click off this blog post. We have other blog posts you can read through, or simply have a little browse on our website. Either way, we understand, so do what's best for you.

First and foremost we're so excited about stocking Chilly's bottles that we've just got to include them! These are a practical gift with an added touch of luxury that would be ideal for the man who loves the outdoors. If he's already got a reusable water bottle, then alternatively you could always gift him one of the insulated food pots so he can take breakfast on the go wherever he's headed.

One thing you can never go wrong with is a good mug. By now most of you will know that we've always got an Emma Bridgewater mug for every occasion, and Father's day is no exception. Whether it's one of the lovely Dad mugs or perhaps one simply with his favourite animal or scene on, we're sure he'll be pleased.

Is the special man in your life a busy one? If he's someone who spends a lot of time at the office (even if that's at home nowadays), stationery is great for being a gift that's useful but still oozes style and a personal touch. The Voyager journals are exactly this, with their sleek design and handy refills, as are the Bookaroo notebooks with the bonus of all their accessories to add to it.

Now for a product for those who own that typical man cave. Gisela Graham's mini mugs and jugs are always popular in our shop. The novelty of their simple yet cute and fun designs always go down a treat as gifts. You could give the tools one for the garden lover, or perhaps a sailboat for the guy who loves the sea.

Finally, it's always heart-warming to sprinkle a little bit of sentiment into a gift, and the same applies to dads, grandads and father-figures alike. Some things we find happiness in here at Daisy Park are: going through deliveries with lots of lovely new goodies in, wrapping gifts for loved ones on behalf of customers, and putting together a theme (actually we've always enjoyed that one). You may have previously seen some of our colour themed blog posts which we find so pleasing to do, and this time we've gone for a happiness theme because we all need as much of it as we can get rif. So here's our fabulous little happy edit of glorious bits and bobs put together to create a bright yellow, joyful little collection of treats.

Yes, we know, it seems a little early to be talking about Mothers day just yet when Valentine's day has only just passed. But March is drawing ever closer which means the special mum day will be creeping up on us in no time as it's a little earlier this year - Sunday 14th to be precise!

So, for those of you who like to get organised early, or simply have a bit of extra online shopping time at the moment, we thought we'd give you some inspiration for what you could get the mother figure in your life.

If in doubt, go for a mug

Whilst we're all stuck at home a lot more than normal times these days, candles are somewhat of a perfect gift we think. Although it can be stressful, hosting friends and family can be such a fun experience. Whether it be for Christmas, a birthday or simply just a get-together, they're often where we make some of the best memories. Not being able to have these for a year now is tough for all of us, but perhaps now we can start to think a little bit about planning them once more. It seems a bit risky, but maybe, just maybe, we can start to get a tiny bit excited about a future filled with good times again.

One of the best parts of hosting people is getting all your best tableware out, don't you think? Even if it's just having a few friends over for a coffee and cake, it's simply a necessity to bring out your best tray.
