3 Ways to Show your Friends Some Love
3 Ways to Show your Friends Some Love
Take a minute to think about those closest to you. For many of us, family of course will come to mind, but beyond that will be those special people we get to call our friends. Whether it's a work colleague who helps the day go by, or your day one bestie who's been there forever, it's nice to show them some appreciation sometimes.
International Day of Friendship was yesterday, and though this blog post is a little late for it, we're also aware that every day is a good day to celebrate our friends. So here's 3 easy ways you can do that right now.
1. Get on the phone
Be it a simple text or a lengthy FaceTime, you could argue that modern technology is a friend in it's own right thanks to giving us the ability to get in touch with a loved one in an instant. So, since you're on yours now, why not quickly click off of the blog post and shoot them a message now?
Lots of people are now jumping on the idea of sending voice notes. This can be a great way to give a quick update or a quick message of love in a matter of seconds, and seems a little more personal as they can hear your voice.
2. Organise a meet up
No matter how busy your schedules, it's important to make time to spend time with those who make us feel good. Perhaps you could go for a coffee, or go on a joint dog walk together. Or even plan a whole day together, like a day trip somewhere followed by a girls night in, or whatever it is you love to do together.
3. Send some love in the post
If you're not able to see your bff any time soon but you want to do a little something more than a text, then maybe this is where we can help. We all know the excitement of receiving a surprise in the post, whether it's a card to say hello or a little gift of love, we all love it. Give your friend that feeling and send one of these cards with an East of India trinket and show how much you appreciate them.
Or there's the Emma Bridgewater 'Without You' mug which is pretty cute. This would be great as a bigger gift, maybe if there's a birthday coming up soon that you need a gift for.
Whatever you choose to do to celebrate your friends, we hope more than anything that you get a chance to share a giggle, however that might be. And to our friends of Daisy Park, thank you for always supporting us, we appreciate you too!
