4 steps to the perfect Easter

There is something quite joyful about an Easter table, and Easter weekend on the whole, actually. It marks the beginning of Spring and for many of us, weather permitting, it might be the first quality time spent outside in our gardens in the year. Bright pastels adorn our homes, golden yellow daffodils make gardens, parks and other outdoor areas look cheery, and of course chocolate and hot cross buns always brighten ones mood too.

If you're in need of some inspiration to replicate this feeling associated with spring and Easter, then you're in the right place. Have a browse through some of our favourite products for Easter in this blog post and you'll be feeling ready in no time. Oh, by the way, did you know Easter falls early this year? It starts on 3rd April so now is the time to get organised before it creeps up on us all!

Step 1: Time to decorate

What we love about decorating for Easter is that there is much less pressure than say, Christmas. If you've already got an Easter tree then great, but if not then you could simply find some sturdy twigs on a walk and put them all in a vase. Then it's time to decorate with adorable eggs, bunnies and whatever else might bring you joy. Our favourites this year are the Gisela Graham ceramic bunnies, and these beautiful card eggs from Cambridge Imprint.

Step 2: Get hosting ready

First and foremost, it would not be an Easter blog post without a mention of Emma Bridgewater. We may be biased but we love the designs this year. They're full of classic Easter colours, the iconic mini eggs and a nod to our one true love: the hot cross bun. Each piece is a perfect celebration of this time of year, particularly the Easter toast mug. Use egg cups for an egg themed breakfast, the bowls for storing chocolate treasures found on hunts, or even just the napkins for an egg-stra special detail to your hosting table.

Step 3: Send a cheerful Easter card

A highly underrated card in our opinion (but then, we love any excuse to send a pretty card). Spring, in a way, is the real new year so it's a lovely chance to wish loved ones well for the new season and the year ahead. And in a world so online, why not, hey? We've got a selection of single cards as well as packs and each one is simply lovely.

Step 4: the gift that isn't chocolate

Now, as much as we all LOVE chocolate, we can all probably agree that sometimes we really do get a lot. So, if you're looking to get someone a little something for Easter that isn't chocolate, then we suggest either the Legami Easter pen set (always a winner with kids), or one of these adorable mini mugs which you could then add some chocolate too. They're so sweet!
