    New Term New Goodies

    New Term New Goodies

As the month of August seems to be hurtling by, we're sure there's lots of parents out there starting to breathe a tiny sigh of relief. Whether it's just starting school, or taking a big leap to university for the first time, a new term will soon be starting and children young and old all over the country will be back to education. This might be exciting for your children, or perhaps very daunting, but however they might be feeling, one thing's for sure: there's plenty to get organised.

Fear not! Maybe we can help with some of these gorgeous goodies, including backpacks, lunch bags, stationery and even some good luck cards for the older children heading off to uni for the first time. Before you know it, the new academic year will feel easy peasy to take on.

Starting with the younger kids, we've got plenty of goodies to get them ready. From lovely backpacks, bottles and lunch bags from Frugi (which can be bought on their own but also look great as a set), to delicious stationery from If & Bookaroo or Djeco. Take the If Children's reading timer, for example, to help them get back into homework duties. Or one of their fab brightly coloured notebooks and some Djeco glitter pens to make their note-taking a bit more fun.

Or if they feel a bit too old for Frugi, the Eco Chic backpacks have got some lovely designs and they foldaway into neat little packages so when they're not in use they can be stored easily.

Now for the older children, Bookaroo and Busy B are gorgeous stationery brands for them. Whether they want to organise their studying hours for the week with a weekly planner, or keep their notes and pens etc together with the Bookaroo notebook accessories. The new pouches would make for ideal uni gifts for storing books and everyday stationery bits.

We all know one of the best ways to do well is by treating yourself well. Ensure your children are staying hydrated with a fabulous Chilly's bottle to take with them to class, or maybe a reusable coffee cup to fuel those 9am lectures.

Finally for many of the older children, starting university can be scary. Wish them all the best with a good luck card to finish off the gift.

    Get Buzzing over Insect Goodies

    Get Buzzing over Insect Goodies

Whether you're fascinated by them or terrified of them, bugs and insects can be found wherever you go. But, as the little creepy crawlers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, their unique patterns and colours can make for some great inspiration for homeware, don't you think?

So perhaps letting these glorious goodies come buzzing into your home wouldn't be such a bad thing..

From Emma Bridgewater and Gisela Graham to Frugi and East of India, there are lots of brands in Daisy Park that feature pretty little creatures. Most common is of course the incredibly popular Bumblebee, which we are all for because they are undeniably cute.

We're also loving the Emma Bridgewater butterflies and bugs range. The Chilly's bottle in this design is a personal favourite of ours, as but there are lots of gorgeous butterfly designs from other brands too. Such as the Eco Chic bags and coffee cups, and even some of the Djeco kids toys.

PICS: Eco Chic butterflies, kids stuff?

Even East of India can bring some bugs life into their products. These bits make for some lovely gifts if you know anyone who loves bees or butterflies, aren't they just the cutest?

So if you or someone you care about has a love for all things insects, then perhaps some of these goodies will be something for you or them to get buzzing with excitement over. Normally we might try to get these creatures out of our homes, but these ones we might just have to let live here for a while..

    New Home Treats

    New Home Treats

If there's one thing this pandemic has done, it's that it's made us far more aware of our surroundings. Whether it's sparked a new found love for the beauty of where we live, or provoked a realisation that perhaps it's time for somewhere new, it's probably impacted us all in some way. And with that, it would seem that many of us are making moves to new homes and new areas perhaps more than ever.

Sound familiar to you? Well, if you know someone who has just moved house or is just about to, here is the blog post you might need to give some inspiration on what gift to get them. Throw in a card and you're good to go.

    Trays

It can sometimes be difficult to know what homeware to get someone if perhaps they have a specific style or already have plenty of mugs, plates and dishes etc. But often a good tray can go overlooked and there are some really gorgeous ones available. Take the Asta Barrington ones for example, which are bright and beautiful and you can even choose one with their favourite drink or phrase on if you like. Or there's the Emma Bridgewater trays for those who love the classic country look, these are practical gifts too as they're a good size and sturdy.

    Tins

Sticking to alternative homeware, tins are another brilliant option. Not only are they really useful (you can never have enough tins, right?), but again, there are also some really lovely designs out there - the Emma Bridgewater ones being an obvious choice. You can fill them with goodies to add to the gift too, for example getting some luxury crackers and popping them in a cracker tin, or filling a biscuit barrel with their favourites.

    Candles

A common gift choice for a new home, but for a good reason. A good quality, delightful smelling candle can be a real treat as a gift. You could opt for the Country Candles New Home candle to mark the occasion, or instead go for their favourite scent, or a reed diffuser from St Eval that they can easily spruce up an empty shelf with.

    Austin Sloan Signs

For those whose homes follow a more rustic theme and who like a bit of humour, an Austin Sloan sign will always go down well. They can be hung in any part of the house or garden, and are a great way to bring some extra personality to the place.

    East of India

It wouldn't be a special occasion without some sentiment from East of India. If it's just a small token you want to give, or a little extra piece to add to the main present, a trinket might be perfect.

    Gift Vouchers

If you're still feeling like they already have everything they need, or you're not sure on their style yet, sometimes a gift voucher is the best you can give. That way they can save it for when they might need it, or choose something they've had their eye on for a while.

    Cards

And finally, you can't forget a card! The Emma Bridgewater one is one of our all time best-selling cards, so naturally had to get a mention, and it really is lovely. But there are other options too and all are gorgeous. Now your gift is complete!

    Send a Hug

    Send a Hug

It goes without saying that over this past year we've all missed hugs. And whilst in good time, we'll be hopefully able to hug anyone and everyone if we want to, for now we must continue to remember it as a distant privilege. But we can find ways of persevering and getting through, can't we? And one way we can do that is by sending a hug in the post instead. A virtual hug!

Inspired by the fabulous new Molly Mae cards that we've got new in, we think the idea of sending a hug in the form of a card and maybe a little keepsake is just about as good as it gets in this lockdown life. There's a variety of cards to choose from, whether it's for a grandparent or a friend, one of these lovely little cards are ideal for right now.

In fact, there's a whole host of lockdown-themed cards for you to choose from. We've had lots of deliveries of new designs and top ups of old ones from brands such as Corniche, and Woodmansterne, with a variety of sweet or humour themes. Perhaps you want to show an NHS worker just how much you appreciate them, or brighten someone's day with a card that would make them giggle.

Tie it all together with a little trinket from East of India. We've got lots of glorious newness in from them at the moment, so there's even more loveliness to choose from. Whether it's simply a little pebble letting them know you care, or a heart hanging for them to hang somewhere special, one of these little goodies with a card will be the warmest of hugs for a loved one to receive through their letter box.

These little treats really are a lovely way to remind someone of how much you care. Don't forget that we can gift wrap bits for you and write out cards on your behalf, so even if you're unable to do it yourself, you can still send your love to that special someone.

    Love Is In The Air...

    Love Is In The Air...

After what feels like the longest January of all time, there is finally an end in sight, and February is getting closer and closer on the horizon, hopefully bringing with it some renewed hope, and of course, a little bit of love..

This year we're thinking that perhaps we can extend Valentines day to include anyone and everyone. Not just showing your other half some love, but anyone you care about big time. Because after the terrible year we've had, we think everyone could do with a little extra love.

You Daisy Parkers know how much we love a card, so of course there are some beautiful designs to choose from as always. From classic Emma Bridgewater cards using rich reds and pretty pinks, to Molly Mae cards that are extremely relevant to our current situation - just brilliant. There's humour cards for the couples who don't take life too seriously, soppy cards or simple ones, for those who like to keep things subtle.

We also love a theme here at Daisy Park, so if you want a gift to go with the card that fits with the love theme then these little treats from Greengate are just delightful, don't you think?

But if you want to keep it lowkey and just give a little token, an East of India trinket is often the perfect way to say how you're feeling with a little touch of meaning. You can't go wrong.

If you want to give something a bit more special but still a classic Valentines option, jewellery is always a good go to. Whether it's a simple necklace that they've had their eye on for a while, or some of the timeless heart studs that always go down a treat, One & Eight is always a wonderful choice.

Whether you choose to go for an extravagant gift or something more subtle, remember that if you can't be with your loved one this Valentines, we can help to make it that tiny bit more special. We're still more than happy to gift wrap products free of charge, and we can even write out cards on your behalf too. Our favourite part of the job is wrapping up goodies to look beautiful, and helping customers to get special gifts for those they care about, so please do just let us know.

Sending lots of love to our customers now just on Valentines day, but all 365 days of the year. We hope everyone has a good day, whether it's a virtual Galentines, or simply a good film and a cuppa in bed. It's the little things that are underrated tokens of love after all.
